  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Sandwich

  • 2 sandwich buns (burger buns or brioche)
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 2 slices cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or sauce of choice

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Marinate the Chicken: Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the marinade. Let rest for 10–15 minutes.
  • Grill the Chicken: Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat. Grill chicken for 6–7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Rest the Chicken: Remove chicken from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes to keep it juicy.
  • Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the sandwich buns on the grill or pan.
  • Assemble the Sandwich: Spread mayonnaise on the buns. Add lettuce, grilled chicken, tomato, onion, and cheese if using.
  • Serve: Close the bun and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use whole wheat buns for a healthier option.
  • Add avocado or grilled mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • For spicy taste, add chili sauce or hot mayo.
  • Chicken can also be cooked on a pan or air fryer if a grill is not available.
