For the Pork
- 500 g pork loin, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 egg
- ½ cup cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Oil for deep frying
For the Sweet and Sour Sauce
- ⅓ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ¼ cup water
Vegetables
- 1 bell pepper (red or green), cubed
- 1 onion, cubed
- ½ cup pineapple chunks
In a bowl, mix pork with egg, salt, and black pepper.
Coat the pork pieces evenly with cornstarch.
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry pork until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
In another pan, add bell pepper, onion, and pineapple. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix ketchup, pineapple juice, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water.
Pour the sauce into the pan and cook until thickened.
Add fried pork to the sauce and toss until well coated.
Cook for another 2–3 minutes and serve hot.
