Ingredients
  

For the Pork

  • 500 g pork loin, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for deep frying

For the Sweet and Sour Sauce

  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water

Vegetables

  • 1 bell pepper (red or green), cubed
  • 1 onion, cubed
  • ½ cup pineapple chunks

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix pork with egg, salt, and black pepper.
  • Coat the pork pieces evenly with cornstarch.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan and fry pork until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In another pan, add bell pepper, onion, and pineapple. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix ketchup, pineapple juice, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water.
  • Pour the sauce into the pan and cook until thickened.
  • Add fried pork to the sauce and toss until well coated.
  • Cook for another 2–3 minutes and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute pork with chicken for a lighter version.
  • Adjust sugar and vinegar according to your taste preference.
  • Serve with steamed rice or fried rice for a complete meal.
